Simple Habits To Keep Your Home Tidy.

Do you work from home or are you a stay at home parent? Here are some simple habits to keep your home tidy while you are living is your workspace.
You know what they say, having a clean and tidy home will give you a clean and tidy mind. Working from home whether it’s taking care of children or a home-based job can sometimes feel overwhelming. The chaos of children running around or just your day to day life can at times make your living space feel crowded.
Here Are Some Simple Habits to Start Practicing.

Start Your Day Off Right By Making Your bed
Getting up on the right side of the bed isn’t the only easy way to start your day, but believe it or not MAKING YOUR BED is the best way to kick off your morning and fast track you on the way to productivity. Yes making your bed is the first thing you should be practicing.
Beginning your morning with a clean slate sets an intention for the day to do the small things.

Keep Your Bathroom Sink Tidy
Cleaning Cloth on stand by.
After making your bed you don’t want to walk into a bathroom to a messy sink. Keep your sink tidy for longer by keeping a cleaning cloth at arms reach. Take 30 second after each use at the sink to do a quick wipe down. Taking care of any water slashes, toothpaste marks or water spots on the faucet.
TRUST ME i started this simple habit years ago and I haven’t looked back, it’s probably the easiest habit to pick up.
Pick-A-Day
Major Chores Days
Pick a day of the week for each major chore.
I do a deep clean of toilets and showers on Wednesdays and Mondays is Dust, Vacuum and Moping. Knowing which days you expect yourself to clean will release any stress you have about getting the job done.
Let Them Play
If you are having a hard time getting motivated to clean out a cabinet or two try this helpful tip…
Okay this is for the stay at home parent. If you are like me I let my little one play in most of my kitchen cabinets (anything dangerous is removed to a locked cabinet of course). Pots and pans, bowls, Tupperware, utility drawer with spoons and other random essentials.
Let them pull everything out onto the floor from one cabinet, this is a wonderful exercise for your child to explore. And also a great opportunity for you to give a good wipe down of the cupboard, reorganize and possibly even donate an item or two.
Try this with the linen closet, it’s the perfect opportunity to fold and reorganizing the towels and sheets. You will be surprised at how many pillow cases you have and don’t use!

Start Your Day By Ending Your Day
Last Minute Tidy
The last tip I have here is the full loop of creating a happy home and a tidy stress free mind and it only takes 5-10 minutes!
Before you settle down at the end of your long tired work day to watch Netflix and chill, take a few minutes to do one thing. TIDY up your space, I don’t mean CLEAN; just tidy. Grab all the toys and throw them in a basket, put the dirty dishes in the sink, better yet get them in the dishwasher and turn it on! Give a wipe down of the counter tops and if your feeling “EXTRA” sweep up the crumbs on the floor.. .just in the kitchen don’t get crazy on me.
Waking up to a clean “workspace” will help you, trust me.
I know if you can dedicate yourself to at least a couple of these simple habits to keep your home tidy you will see an improvement in your work from home mind set.
